REUNITED: Porch Pirated Puppy Dropped Off At Pet Store Returned To Family; Suspect At Large

A Prince George's County family is complete again after their stolen dog was found at a nearby pet store, authorities announced.

As previously reported by Daily Voice , Canelo the dachshund was stolen off of the porch of her District Heights home around 5:30 a.m., Monday, March 6.

Prince George's County Police released video of the theft a week later, showing a strange woman coming up onto the porch of the home to take Canelo.

Luckily, a few days later, an employee at a Donnell Drive pet store recognized Canelo after she had been mysteriously dropped off.

The employee was able to reach out to Canelo's family, who was reunited with their beloved dog a short time later.

Police are still actively working on identifying the suspect who stole Canelo off of the District Heights porch.
