South Alabama adds former Utah State quarterback from transfer portal
South Alabama picked up a transfer commitment late Wednesday from Bishop Davenport, a quarterback who spent last season at Utah State. Davenport (6-foot-2, 180 pounds) played in three games with one start (vs. Wyoming) as a true freshman for the Aggies in 2022, completing 27 of 44 passes for 249 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions. The Spring, Texas, native — a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class — also added 49 yards and two touchdowns rushing.
