By Amanda Pevey

Elmore/Autauga News

Autauga-Prattville Public Library will be kicking off their Family Summer Reading Program Party on June 9th. The theme this year is, “All Together Now.” The party will consist of games, food, and fun. A special thanks to Regions Bank for providing hot dogs for the event. Any family who would like to participate can pick up their reading logs, and program information and stay for the activities planned. A Social Sip Adult Summer Reading Party is planned for June 10th. Pick up your Adult Summer reading logs and enjoy a mocktail bar and social hour with relaxed vibes. No alcohol will be present or allowed.

You may pick up your reading log from any APPL branch. Whenever you read, track the length of time you read by coloring in buildings on your tracker. Follow the instructions on your tracker. You may also color in a building for each library program you attend. Write your name and contact information on the back of each square. When you’ve colored all of your buildings for a square, cut it out and bring it in between June 12th and July 22nd to receive a prize for your reading. The participants who read the most minutes in each age category will win a prize.

Another exciting event will be taking place at the end of July at the library for any participants who love Harry Potter.
