A suspect is in custody after police say they robbed a bystander at gunpoint on Main Street in Poughkeepsie. Police say they responded to a call from a victim who was approached by a man who demanded money Saturday night. They say the victim was held at gunpoint, until they gave the suspect money. Jeffrey Henry was arrested by Poughkeepsie police. He is being charged with two counts of robbery.

A Saugerties man will be in court today for car theft. Officers responded to a report of the missing vehicle and a large woodchipper that was attached to it Saturday morning.  According to police, the SUV and the woodchipper were found about two hours later, behind the Big Lots Plaza on Route 212. Police say Mason Bell, of Saugerties, was arrested and charged with two counts of Grand Larceny. Bell was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to reappear in Village Court today.

A business manager at the Mamaroneck Public library has resigned, following reports of financial irregularities. Last month, the board of trustees discovered potential misappropriation on all the library's accounts. As a result, the library's business official was immediately placed on administrative leave and a financial forensic audit was initiated. Trustees tell News 12 the investigation is ongoing, but they will take all measures necessary to address any issues raised during the probe.
