Sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a shooting in rural Pottawatomie County.
The sheriff’s office said it happened on Hardesty Road. A bullet came very close to the family inside the house.
"The bullet went through their front door, and bounced off of something," said Luetta White, a neighbor.

White lives right next door to the home. She said she read a post from her next-door neighbors on Facebook since deputies investigated overnight.
"He said that he felt it whiz by him, and when he heard it, I guess he came in," White said.
The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office confirmed a bullet struck the front door of the house and hit some furniture inside.
White has a connection to her neighbor’s house: it used to be hers. She lived in it for over 40 years.
"I hate that they even had to go through that, and it’s scary to think about what’s going to happen. You know, could it happen someplace else around here?" White said.
The sheriff’s office said not much is known about the suspect vehicle, only that it’s possibly a four-door and was going eastbound on Hardesty.
"Well, you just have to keep faith that things are going to be OK. It’s a different world that we live in," White said.
The sheriff’s office said they found one of the bullets and have sent it to the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation. No arrests have been made.
