Gonzalez homer lifts Eagles over Bulldogs
As the leadoff hitter, Robert Gonzalez has often been the player to get things started at the plate. Last week in Pleasanton’s showdown at Somerset, the senior was the one to help finish the deal. It took a full 10 innings for the Eagles (25-2, 9-1) to put the...

The right-hander who is fast becoming the ace of the Double-A Somerset Patriots looked like he should be playing shooting guard for Gonzaga, and for a time that was the dream for a kid who was born in Idaho and moved to Washington state as a five-year-old.
