Portland Rose Festival Fleet Week begins, more ships arrive Wednesday and Thursday

PORTLAND, Ore. —
The Portland Rose Festival's fleet week is officially underway.

Earlier on Tuesday, the first two ships arrived along the Portland Waterfront including a ship from the Royal Canadian Navy.
Another ship will come in Wednesday and seven more will arrive on Thursday.
People should expect bridge lifts and delays on the Broadway, Steel, and Burnside bridges as ships arrive and depart.
- On Tuesday, June 6, two ships arrived with lifts between 2 & 4 p.m.
- On Wednesday, June 7, one ship arrives with lifts between 2 & 4 p.m.
- On Thursday, June 8, seven ships arrive between 2 & 6 p.m.
The U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, and Royal Canadian Navy will have ships docked at Portland's seawall.
Tours will begin on Friday and run through Sunday.
The ships will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.
The ships will depart Monday, June 12, from 7 a.m until noon.
