Portland police officers set up a large perimeter in Northeast Portland on Thursday night as they searched for several people who they said ran away from them.
However, the perimeter was broken down shortly after 1:20 a.m., and police stated the suspects remain unlocated.
Police say the people fled from a vehicle they had been chasing in the area of Northeast Rodney Avenue and Shaver Street. The vehicle was later collected as evidence.
The perimeter went from Skidmore to Failing and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to Cleveland.
Police restricted vehicles and pedestrians within the perimeter, and asked residents to stay inside with locked doors.
Officers used police dogs and a drone for the search.
Police aren’t releasing any information about the suspects right now.
