A motorcyclist died and a person riding on the motorcycle is in the hospital after a crash with a pickup in Southeast Portland early Sunday morning.

Portland Police officers responded to the crash at Southeast 139th Avenue and Stark Street at about 1:10 a.m. Sunday.

They arrived to find a motorcyclist deceased. A passenger on the bike was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the pickup and their passengers were unhurt in the collision.

The Major Crash Team also investigated a separate crash on North Marine Drive shortly before midnight.
