Mario, Luigi named grand marshals of Rose Festival's Fred Meyer Junior Parade

A little rain didn’t dampen the spirits of the thousands who came out for the annual Fred Meyer Junior Parade through Portland’s Hollywood District. PORTLAND, Ore. —
The Rose Festival's "Fred Meyer Junior Parade" has named this year's grand marshal - the Mario Bros.

Organizers say, the "pixelated legends will lead the procession with a spring in their step and a mischievous twinkle in their eyes."
The parade will be held June 7 at 1 p.m., with the traditional route through Northeast Portland’s Hollywood District.
The route begins at NE 52nd Avenue and Sandy and ends at Grant High School.
