As if Oregon’s summer music options weren’t already off the charts, Modest Mouse and the Pixies announced a co-headlining tour with Cat Power that will play two nights at McMenamins Edgefield in September.
The shows will be a local stop for Modest Mouse. Frontman Isaac Brock is one of Portland’s more famous residents (and he had a cameo in “Portlandia.”)
The Pixies and Cat Power may not be local bands, but they are both big names in rock and roll. The Pixies have been making music since the 1980s, Cat Power since the 1990s.
The shows will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 12 and Wednesday, Sept. 13. Both shows start at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 4:30 p.m.
Tickets for the show go on sale through Etix on Friday at 10 a.m. You can find tickets for the Sept. 12 show here and tickets for the Sept 13 show here.
Tickets will also be available through StubHub and SeatGeek.
