Still deciding on your Portland-area Easter egg hunt plans? You’d better hop to it!

With all this rain Portland has been getting, hiding eggs in lush tall grass should be easy this Easter. Still making your egg hunt plans? Many of this year’s events are requiring reservations, and some are already sold out prior to April. So you’d better hop to it.

The Oregon Zoo, which traditionally hosts Rabbit Romp, is forgoing that event in 2023 in favor of “Hop into Spring,” an all-ages day of outdoor lawn games, live magic shows, animal encounters and photos with bee and butterfly characters. All events are included with regular zoo admission. Timed admission tickets are required in advance and can be reserved at: www.oregonzoo.org/events

Cedar Hills Spring Egg Hunt

Spring is in the air and the Cedar Hills Bunny is on its way. Kids can search for colorful eggs filled with cany and prizes. Bring your own basket. Reserve your spot at the provided link.

Bethany Village Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Ready for an “eggcellent” adventure? The Bethany Village Easter Egg Hunt is free event for the whole family. Visit participating businesses to collect candy and other fun goodies. Then finish the “hunt” at the Bethany Athletic Club. Events include outdoor games, activities, and photos with the Easter Bunny.

Vancouver Elks Club Easter Egg Hunt

Elks Club chapter 823 invites the public to its free Easter egg hunt. The fun begins around 10:30 a.m. with the actual hunt around noon. Hunts are divided into age groups from toddlers to 11 years old. There will also be face painting, photos, and food and drink for purchase.

Front Door Reality Easter Egg Hunt

Pre-register at the website for the family egg hunt at Harney Elementary School.

Sellwood/Moreland Egg Hunt at Oaks Park

Hop over to Picnic Area 9 at Oaks Park for the annual Sellwood/Moreland hunt. Free candy and prizes, and pictures with a visiting bunny (costumed, you know, the scary kind). Hunts for ages 12 and younger.

West Linn Lions Club Hunt

The 67th annual Lions Club of West Linn Easter egg hunt returns to the football field at West Linn High School. Candy-filled egg hunts begin at 10 a.m. sharp (early arrival is recommended). The hunts are divided into four age groups. Parents are asked to stay off the field during hunts.

Deepwood Easter Egg Hunt (Salem)

This Salem-area Easter favorite kicks off at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8. The fun is designed for children 10 and younger. Bring your own baskets. Hunts are divided by age group. Pre-registration is required.
