A man was taken to a hospital after he said he was stabbed Wednesday morning.

Police say the man was sleeping on the sidewalk near SW Washington and 4th Avenue when he was woken up and threatened by two people with knives and was robbed of his backpack.

Officials say he had a small bleeding scratch above his ear.

A Portland Police spokesperson tells KATU News that “there may be more to the story.”

There is no word on his condition at the time this story is being published.
