Willamette Week: Metro Homeless Services bond underspent

PORTLAND, Ore. —
Our partners at Willamette Week have learned that Multnomah County budgeted but failed to spend more than $22 million from the Metro Homeless Services bond in the first half of the fiscal year.

This is the second year the county has underspent its allocated funds for the homeless crisis.
But with unsheltered people dying in the elements and homeless camps still prevalent across the Rose City, why isn’t that money being used?
