Officers from Central Precinct responded to an area near South Waterfront on a call that people were carrying AR-style rifles Sunday morning.

Police say the two were pointing them at something under the I-5 onramp near Southwest Sheridan Street and Water Avenue.

Police say the rifles were not real and were instead airsoft guns.

A man and a woman were cited for disorderly conduct and police confiscated the guns as evidence.
