Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter SZA 'rocked the boat' last weekend at the Moda Center for a sold-out show, and while the crowd adored her performance, the star told fans the reality of how difficult it was taking the stage in Portland.
"I'm feeling extra sad because the person I wrote this song about lives here," SZA said on a lifeboat soaring across fans right before performing 'Nobody Gets Me.'
The song tells the love story of SZA and the unknown Portland person which ultimately ends when the star had to go on the road.
Fans all throughout the arena cheered in support of SZA while she continued to push through and perform for her supporters. Young and old, fans' hearts were touched just as much as hers.
After Portland, the star cruised to Vancouver, British Columbia before the S.O.S tour finale in Los Angeles.
Sunday night she shared her love for the Pacific Northwest in an Instagram post and judging by the atmosphere of the crowd on Saturday night in Portland, the feeling is definitely mutual.
