The Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s office is investigating a second possible hypothermia death.

Multnomah County officials released few additional details about the person’s death in Portland on Tuesday, noting it will take several weeks or months to determine the person’s official cause of death.

Last week, a snowstorm dumped nearly 11 inches of snow on Portland. The first case of suspected hypothermia happened on the first day of the storm.

Since then temperatures in Portland have started to warm, prompting county and city officials to close overnight warming shelters this week.
