East Meadow Dunkin Donuts Robbed at Gunpoint by Unknown Assailant, Cops Say
The Major Case Bureau is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at 7:55 pm in East Meadow. According to Robbery Squad Detectives, an unknown male subject entered the Dunkin Donuts, located at 329 Merrick Avenue. The subject approached a male store employee and displayed a handgun while demanding cash. The victim complied and the subject fled on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of US currency.

The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of a male juvenile for an incident that occurred on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 12:40 pm in Elmont. According to Detectives, Officers received a 911 call for a stolen vehicle from Belmont Boulevard. Prior to police arrival, officers observed a 2020 white Volkswagen matching the vehicles description traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Elmont Road.

Man killed after struck by box truck and SUV in Brooklyn street, police say
A man was killed after getting clipped by the side of a box truck, then hit again by an SUV driver while crossing a street in Brooklyn, according to police. The driver of the box truck was heading east on Atlantic Avenue at Bedford Avenue in Crown Heights around 9:15 p.m. Sunday when he struck a pedestrian who walked off the sidewalk and into the right lane of traffic, police said. The truck's passenger's side mirror hit the man, sending him to the ground, and the truck ran him over.
