A 20-year-old man with autism was found safe in Fort Pierce.

On March 17, the Port St. Lucie Police Department said that 20-year-old Verrick Jones left his home on SW Segovia Street. Verrick is autistic and has the mental capacity of a 6-year-old child.

Investigators believed he left his home on foot.

PSLPD Drone unit was on scene and officers searched the surrounding area near his home.

No further information on where he was found was released.
