Port Royal Police Officer to be commended for saving a woman's life
PORT ROYAL, S.C. (WTGS) — A Port Royal Police Officer who rescued a woman in distress on Tuesday is being commended for her heroic actions. Port Royal Police say that Officer Karina Fraire-Galindo was on patrol at Sands Beach at 6:30 pm when she saw a woman on the floating dock who appeared to be in distress.
Fillin Station fight results in Attempted Murder charge for St. Helena man
A fight on Wednesday afternoon, April 17, on Lady’s Island resulted in a man being charged with Attempted Murder. At around 3:17 p.m., Beaufort Police officers responded to a disturbance at 57 Sea Island Parkway, The Fillin’ Station. There was a “fight in progress” in the parking lot of the business, and according to police, one participant pulled a gun.
