The HUB Upgrades Game Room with Shaffer
With the help of Shaffer Distributing, The HUB in Tonkawa, Okla., recently had their game room refreshed. The FEC has a cinema, bowling, an arcade and a sports bar. The center now features additional arcade games plus an Omni Arena from Virtuix. Its 12-lane alley is equipped with Spark interactive scoring, a coffee bar and a lounge for gamers. Their sports bar features more than 30 screens and Oklahoma’s longest bar top.

Hooray for Hollywood Royally Entertaining
Body Ponca Concert Association members were royally entertained in their last concert of the series this year when the Empiri 3 Trio presented Hooray for Hollywood. The trio has had rave reviews from audiences and critics since they began performing first as O Sole Trio in 2012. Cornelson receives Robert E. Moore Tradition of Excellence Scholarship at spring concert
Body Lucius Cornelsen is this year’s recipient of the Robert E. Moore Tradition of Excellence Scholarship. A baritone in the Po-Hi Chorale, Cornelsen was surprised by the announcement on Monday, May 15, during the Chorale’s spring concert at the Ponca City Schools Concert Hall. After graduation from the Ponca City High School Class of 2023, he will use the one-time $1500 award as he continues his education at Northern Oklahoma College (NOC) in the fall.
CASONO annual spring concert to be held May 21, 2023
Body The Chorale Arts Society of Northern Oklahoma (CASONO) is pleased to invite the public to attend a free concert of Cinematic Choral Highlights (songs from Movies). The concert will be presented at Grace Episcopal Church 13th and Grand, Ponca City, on Sunday, May 21 at 2 p.m. The Artistic Director is Brandon Haynes, Roustabouts Vocal Director/Adjunct Voice Faculty/Staff at Northern Oklahoma College. Accompanist is Connie Van Ausdall, adjunct faculty of Northern Oklahoma College and retired Director of Music for St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Suzanne Sumpter, who is also adjunct faculty of Northern Oklahoma College.
Symphony Orchestra Concert Friday
Body The Ponca City High School Symphony Orchestra will be presenting their Annual Spring Concerto Concert Friday evening, May 19, at 7:00, in the Ponca City Schools Concert Hall. The group is under the baton of Paula R. Cochran, Director of Orchestras at the high school. Katie Rolf and Cassidy Broome assist each day and teach orchestra at the middle and elementary schools. Trent Davis and Connor Pratt, have assisted with the wind and percussion section of the Symphony Orchestra. Retired maestro Dan P. Larson has been invited back to conduct six pieces on the program. The Finale will include our traditional farewell to the senior class ending with On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss.
