Polk County has TNR cats up for adoption, why?

Written by Suzanne Jackson

Today in our county shelter I come across 5 ear-tipped cats impounded and waiting for their ultimate demise (that were obvious, there could be more) Polk County refuses to recognize ear-tipped cats, (which are always spayed or neutered). They are described as “unaltered”.

Impounding ear-tipped cats is a waste of resources and an ultimate death sentence for the cat. Either the staff is that stupid or they just don’t care.

Fyi YOUR tax dollars pay for this! Adopt A TNR amendment to the animal control ordinance. Save money. Save lives. And stop looking stupid.
