Doesn’t seem to be very much traffic on the current 2 lane each way part of the turnpike, so why is it being widened?

Let me guess they will just extend the contract and add an addendum to the current contract so it doesn’t have to be put out for bid and the SAME contractor, That has been milking the state on the current and past extensions keeps this one also!! That company has to be one of the richest made off the state taxpayers! That road doesn’t need 6 lanes at all especially when you have roads that are stopped traffic EVERY day because the planners are morons!
