A man has been arrested after he bit a “good chunk” of his friend’s ear off , in a drunken brawl.

Michael O'Driscoll, 39, of Plymouth, Massachusetts , is facing multiple charges following the incident which occurred early on Sunday morning. In a statement, Plymouth police said that O’Driscoll had been out all day on a sightseeing cruise with a 40-year-old man from Dorchester.

The pair continued drinking in local establishments before returning to a residence in North Plymouth. At some point the two began arguing which turned into a physical fight where both threw punches. At around 1 am, O’Driscoll had pinned the Dorchester man to the floor, where he had his ear in his mouth.

According to the police report, the Dorchester man shouted, “Don't bite my ear off. Don't bite my ear!” O’Driscoll then “bit a good chunk of his victim’s ear off.” Police found the piece of ear in a cup of iced water when they arrived at the scene.
