Plymouth Woman Arrested on Several Charges Following Traffic Stop

A Plymouth woman was arrested Monday, June 5 after the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department received a call about an intoxicated woman attempting to drive from a residence in the 17,000 block of Tomahawk Trail with children in the vehicle, according to the report.

A Plymouth Police Department officer located the suspect’s vehicle in the area of Oak Drive and Jefferson Street and a traffic stop was conducted.  During an investigation, police say the driver, 31-year-old Paig Sickman, was intoxicated and had children in the car. Officers also reportedly found that she possessed marijuana in the vehicle.  Additionally, police determined that a domestic battery occurred at a residence in the 17,000 block of Tomahawk Trail that allegedly involved Sickman. 

Sickman was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of domestic battery in the presence of a child less than 16 years of age, neglect of a dependent, operating while intoxicated – endangering, operating while intoxicated with a BAC of .08 or more, and possession of marijuana.    

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
