South Bend Man Arrested Following Traffic Stop

A South Bend Man was arrested Friday, May 26 following a traffic stop in the area of U.S. 30 and Oak Drive in Plymouth just after midnight.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, 41-year-old Jeremy Hill was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended license.  The Marshall County K9 officer Bennett and his partner K9 Diesel were called to conduct a search.  The K9 reportedly alerted to the odor of narcotics from the vehicle.  The vehicle was subsequently searched and a small amount of suspected methamphetamine was found.   The substance was field tested and showed a positive result for methamphetamine.

Hill was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of possession of methamphetamine.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
