After Being Pardoned By Trump, Rapper Kodak Black Is Charged With Drug Possession After Police Found His Mouth Full Of Cocaine

On December 7, rapper Kodak Black was arrested in Plantation, Florida, according to a police report from the Plantation Police Department.

His black 2019 Bentley SUV had been parked with its tail lights on and blocking a portion of the road.

When an officer walked towards the driver’s side door, the window was halfway open and the rapper was sleeping inside the vehicle.

The police noted that the smell of burnt marijuana emanated from the vehicle.

They also found weed residue in the console, and there was also a styrofoam cup containing an alcoholic beverage.

In 2021, Kodak Black was pardoned for previous charges of falsifying forms to buy a firearm by former President Donald Trump.

The rapper confessed that there was marijuana in his car. He stated this when being asked if there were any weapons or if there was anything illegal in his vehicle.

An officer then went to examine the artist’s driver’s license information. When he did this, the officer noticed white powder falling from the rapper’s mouth and discovered his mouth was full of the drug. The rapper claimed that the substance filling his mouth was Percocet, but it was examined and confirmed to be cocaine.

When being searched by an officer, they discovered a small portion of this substance in his left pocket.

The SUV had passenger side-door damage and may have suffered in a crash.

The drugs and the vehicle’s interior and exterior had all been photographed for evidence.

Black was charged with possession of cocaine, tampering with physical evidence and improper stop/stand/park.

Later that night, he was released from the Broward County Jail on a $5,000 bond.

The rapper recently pleaded not guilty to his charges. He has gained legal assistance from his attorney, Bradford Cohen, and has demanded a jury trial.

Kodak Black spoke about the cocaine possession charges on Instagram Live:

“If that s— ain’t me, don’t put that on me,” he declared during his livestream. “Don’t convict me of some s— that ain’t me. Them people went cocaine on me. That’s the only s— that I’m flaming about … I done told y’all, I did meth before. I ain’t into that s—. I ain’t riding around with no cocaine. These people don’t have no body-cam, none of that. It’s 2023, fam.”

Kodak was previously arrested in Broward County on July 15, 2022. He was charged with drug trafficking and possession after oxycodone tablets and $70,000 in cash were found in his vehicle. He was released the day after on a $75,000 bond.

While waiting for a previous trial for his drug trafficking charges, he was sentenced by a Florida judge to go to a drug rehabilitation facility on March 7 and remain there for 30 days.
