Nearly two months after a Plano woman's body was found in Lewisville Lake, new details about her death and her husband's arrest are emerging.

Karlton Dudley has been jailed since late June, arrested three days after his wife Sarah's body was found in a black duffle bag in Lewisville Lake off Hidden Cove Park.

The charges currently against him are for abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. Now, arrest documents obtained by the Dallas Morning News show Karlton Dudley spoke to Collin County Sheriff's investigators and told them he was arrested for, in his words, "losing his wife's body and not hiding the body very well."

Documents also show Karlton Dudley himself filed a missing person report and reported that a black duffle bag was missing from the couple's apartment, the same kind of duffle bag Sarah Dudley's body was found in.

Karlton Dudley remains locked up in Collin County.
