Ben Coogan is set to take over as the new CEO at Medical City Plano, according to a news release from the hospital.

Coogan is the CEO of Medical City Fort Worth and is set to assume his new role June 26. Coogan will succeed Jyric Sims, who was recently promoted to president of HCA Healthcare’s West Florida Division.

Coogan will take over for the hospital, which comprises 600 acute care beds and 2,200 employees.

During his time in Fort Worth, Coogan oversaw the launch of several new programs along with the expansion of organ transplant services, according to the release. He also led a $30 million facility expansion at the hospital.


Coogan has also served as CEO at Medical City Dallas, Medical City Children’s Hospital and Medical City Arlington.
