PITTSTON TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Fire Pit, a new restaurant coming to Pittston Township, is scheduled to open its doors in early April.
The Fire Pit’s owners, Paul and Andria Fiske say the restaurant will seat around 16 people but they are anticipating a lot of takeout with the industrial parks being close by and with how welcoming the community has been already.
“The community has been great, people have been stopping in to see the new place, grabbing menus and we’re super pumped to be serving the community and we’re looking forward to meeting everyone in the area,” said Paul Fiske.
According to Paul, he and his wife Andria currently live in Swoyersville with their two children, but he grew up in Dallas, Luzerne County, and she was born in the “Philly area,” but has spent many years in NEPA working as a speech therapist, and they both felt it was the right time to “make their move” into becoming business owners.
“We decided to pursue a new adventure and do it together,” said Andria Fiske.
Paul Fiske, who has been cooking his whole life, and managed cooking operations at the J&J Deli in Dallas, says the restaurant’s menu will feature a little bit of everything, from hoagies and BBQ to wings and bites.
Regarding the name, Paul says that it takes them back to a simpler time, “I grew up sitting around fire pits, and at home, we love to sit around our fire pit with our dog or our friends and we figured it would be the perfect name.”
Fiske says the restaurant can be found in the old Duddy’s Deli building, located at 720 Suscon Road, in Pittston Township.
Once open, The Fire Pit’s hours will be as follows:
Monday-Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Sunday: CLOSED
The Fire Pit officially opens its doors on Monday, April 8, at 10:00 a.m., to view the full menu and for more information visit their Facebook page .
