    Skylar Borthwick and Mazzie Musgrave were both part of championship teams in high school.

    Now, they are helping the Lackawanna College softball offense average more than eight runs per game this season.

    The Lady Falcons took a 35-14 overall record into the weekend.

    Borthwick is fourth on the team with 30 RBI.

    The sophomore utility player from Pittston Area is batting .355 with seven doubles and four triples while playing in 38 games, including 31 as a starter.

    Musgrave is tied for the team lead in triples with six.

    The first-year outfielder/pitcher from Old Forge is batting .361 with five doubles, 33 runs scored and nine stolen bases in 10 attempts while playing in 42 games and starting 33.

    As a pitcher, Musgrave has not allowed a walk or earned run in two appearances. She has worked five innings, giving up two unearned runs on six hits and striking out two.
