It was a strange day for Pittsburgh Public Safety and Police on over the weekend.

Pittsburgh scanner on Twitter was following the police radio and posted several calls, some of them bizarre.

On Sunday morning, it was reported a case of vodka fell off a truck in Allegheny Center, prompting people to talk some. When police arrived, they said they were all taken. A photo showed some boxes and bottles off the road.

Nearby, on the North Shore, it was reported a man tried to escape police by jumping into the river and trying to swim across, he was taken into custody.

In Sheradan, there was a call that a group of kids were fighting on the person’s garage roof.

In Highland Park, it was reported a man was peeing in front of children and he asked if they wanted to be pushed on the swing.

A deer reportedly got stuck into a hole after jumping into a construction site in Bloomfield.

And, in Brighton Heights it was reported that a group of teens were having a food fight outside of the caller’s property.

So, what’s behind all the bizarre calls to police? Saturday night into Sunday was a full moon. If you believe the moon has an influence on people…here is some more evidence.
