Pitt Target Cancels Kentucky Trip After Official Visit

The Pitt Panthers appear to have made a good impression on 2024 defensive lineman Dominic Kirks.

PITTSBURGH -- There would be a quick turnaround for 2024 defensive lineman Dominic Kirks over the next couple of weeks. He was scheduled to take an official visit to Kentucky just one week after visiting the Pitt Panthers at the beginning of June but he's made a change of plans.

Following his visit to Pittsburgh, Kirks has opted to cancel his visit to Lexington, Kentucky to see the Wildcats, he announced on Twitter over the weekend. Kirks still has a visit to Washington scheduled for later this month.

Kirks, who is from Cleveland, Ohio and attends Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School, was originally scheduled to be in Pittsburgh later this month but moved up his visit to be in the Steel City this past weekend instead.

Kirks is rated as a four-star prospect by On3 and a three-star player by 247Sports and Rivals. On3 ranks him as high as the No. 11 player in Ohio and the No. 28 defensive lineman nationally in the class of 2024.

The 6'5, 250-pound junior has already been out to Seattle to see the Huskies this spring and visited Ohio State, Cincinnati, and West Virginia this year.
