Eric Ingwerson Re-Affirms Commitment to Pitt

Nebraska tried to peel a commit away from the Pitt Panthers but they kept him solid after his official visit.

PITTSBURGH -- Pitt Panthers commit Eric Ingwerson is from Nebraska, which made his decision to take a visit to see his state's flagship university later this summer not very surprising.

But the Cornhuskers appear to have not been successful in that pursuit. Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi posted a cryptic set of emojis that seemed to indicate Ingwerson, who is on his official visit in Pittsburgh this weekend, will no longer visit Nebraska. Ingwerson rplied with an "H2P".

Ingwerson, rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports, hails from Papillion, Nebraska, stands 6'7 tall and weighs 235 pounds. He held three offers from Northern Iowa, Northern Illinois and Pitt. Iowa, Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska also expressed interest, but never offered. 247Sports has him as the No. 11 player in his state and the No. 148 tight end in the class of 2024. He is the first tight end to commit to this class for the Panthers.
