BREAKING: Pitt Head Coach Talks Trash About West Virginia

Pat Narduzzi called in to a local Pittsburgh radio station to discuss the Backyard Brawl between West Virginia and Pitt, and to trash talk the Mountaineers.

MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — “Pat from Pittsburgh” called in to 93.7 The Fan’s “The Fan Morning Show” with hosts Adam Crowley and Dorin Dickerson this week to discuss the upcoming Backyard Brawl between the Pitt Panthers and the West Virginia Mountaineers.

“Pat from Pittsburgh” turned out to be none other than Pittsburgh head coach Pat Narduzzi. Narduzzi started by saying, “I’m wondering what we’re doing with this West Virginia guy on our radio station? I mean, we couldn’t find someone better? His parents were smart enough to go to Pitt but this guy just couldn’t get it done, huh?”

Narduzzi then went on to discuss the actual Backyard Brawl. West Virginia suffered a brutal defeat against their bitter rivals last season and will be looking for revenge. “I’m really excited about that 7:30 night game,” Narduzzi said. “I couldn’t be more excited. Hey, 7:30 in Pittsburgh a year ago and we’ll take another 7:30. It’ll be a great atmosphere down there. Wear your hard hats and get ready to go.”

Pitt’s head coach went on to make excuses about why Pitt fans won’t travel well to Morgantown this season. “I don’t think we’ll travel as well down to Morgantown because of the smaller stadium size, and the way they treat fans down there, I think there’s a lot of Pitt fans – obviously they’ve got the money to do it, but I wonder what that will be like. From all the stories I’ve heard, there’s a lot of older Pitt fans that are like, ‘I’m not going down to that place. I’d rather go to the zoo.'”

Pitt will travel to West Virginia to play the Mountaineers on September 16th at 7:30PM in the 106th edition of the bitter rivalry between the two schools. Pitt currently holds a 62-40-3 advantage over the Mountaineers in the series.
