Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Josh Palacios is not in the lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Alex Wood and the San Francisco Giants.
Palacios will take a seat after starting the first two games of the series. Bryan Reynolds will return to the lineup to play left field and bat second while Jack Suwinski heads to the other outfield corner and hits sixth. Andrew McCutchen will shift to designated hitter in place of Palacios.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Pirates' implied total is fifth-lowest on Wednesday at 3.92 and the game total is 8.0. Wood has a 3.51 ERA and 1.44 WHIP this season, with a 22.4% strikeout rate and 11.2% walk rate.
