First responders called after partial house collapse in Homewood South
Firefighters responded after a partial house collapse in Homewood South Monday afternoon. Allegheny County 911 confirmed first responders had been called to the 7700 block of Tioga Street. It appears that part of a duplex's porch roof came down.There are no reports of any injuries from this collapse. A condemnation notice could be seen on one of the house's doors.A woman related to a next-door resident said she had come to the block for what was supposed to be a Memorial Day cookout. She says the house collapsed as she was arriving. No one in her family was hurt.Electrical wires fell as well due to the collapse, but with the house being abandoned, there was no fire. Duquesne Light came to the scene to inspect the downed wires.
