PITTSBURGH, PA – A Pittsburgh man, Phillip Franks, 59, has been arrested for harassment of a local female television news anchor. The ongoing harassment, dating back to 2020, has led to the charges filed against Franks, announced Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus. Franks’ failure to appear at a preliminary hearing on the charge last month violated the conditions of his bond, leading Judge Edward Borkowski to issue a warrant for his arrest.

Detectives from the Sheriff’s office apprehended Franks at his Penn Avenue residence on Sunday. The arrest took place without any incidents, and Franks was subsequently transported to the Allegheny County Jail.

Police did not say which station was involved or identify the victim.
