The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the most successful franchises in the NFL due to their draft prowess.

The franchise often targets players from The Ohio State University, one of the most prestigious collegiate programs in the country. Defensive end Cameron Heyward and linebacker Ryan Shazier are just two recent examples of the Buckeyes-to-Steelers pipeline.

The Steelers could add another name to the list this spring during the 2023 NFL Draft.

Former Ohio State offensive lineman Dawand Jones is an absolutely massive prospect who recently created headlines for having the longest wingspan in the history of the NFL Combine. Jones stands at 6’8″ and  6-foot-8 and has 36 and 3/8th-inch arms.

The Steelers, who currently own the 17th overall pick in the upcoming draft, are in need of an offensive lineman—and Jones could fit that bill. The Steelers are one of several teams that will host Jones ahead of the draft.

Jones will also visit with the Commanders, Eagles, Colts, Browns, Bengals and Seahawks.

Whether Jones will be drafted in the first round remains to be seen.

“In the grand scheme of things, Jones is a second-tier offensive tackle. With players like Paris Johnson Jr., Peter Skoronski and Broderick Jones compiling the top tier, Jones is in a group with Darnell Wright, Anton Harrison and Cody Mauch,” noted Yahoo! Sports.
