Events, like ArtWalk, are being impacted by weather

PITTSBURG, Kan. (KOAM) - Weather is impacting several local events. Organizers are working to keep residents updated through posts on social media.
Here are just a few impacted events.
Pittsburg Spring ArtWalk
Pittsburg - (Cancelled main event, still has some indoor activities)
"We regret to inform you that the Pittsburg ArtWalk, scheduled for April 26th, 2024, is canceled due to the possibility of severe weather this evening. Sadly, we can't reschedule the event," stated ArtWalk organizers on social media.
"Canceling is a tough decision for us, and we know it's disappointing for everyone involved, but we feel this is the right choice. The safety of our artists and attendees is always our first consideration."
Organizers say there are still indoor events happening Friday night.
TJ Lelands will be open and hosting our Poetry and Fiction Reading,\Super Rats following to close out the night.
TOAST will be hosting a few artists indoors and offering food specials and boozy bevies.
Jolly Fox will be having Brushes and Brews from 4-7pm.
Doggie Bag will be open until 8 and will have several artist pieces on display.
ArtForms will be open showcasing many works by local artists.
Food trucks are welcome to set up at Pritchett Pavilion if they choose to do so.

Cowboy Days: Cow Creek Wild West Town
Fort Scott, Kansas - (Cancelled, organizers looking for a new date)
"We are disappointed to have to announce this, but due to the severe weather outlook this weekend, Cowboy Days: Cow Creek Wild West Town has been cancelled.
Our main concern is the safety of the demonstrators, vendors and visitors."
"Because of the rain, it looks like our Cruisin' Carthage cruise night would turn in to a boat show... We have decided to cancel the event. We hope to see you at our next cruise night, on June 28 - 6:00 at the 7th & Duquesne SMB." - Southwest Missouri Bank
Their next cruise night is June 28 starting at 6:00 pm.
