3 Berkeley County Towns Among Fastest-Growing Home Prices in SC

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Stacker recently compiled a list of cities with the fastest growing home prices in South Carolina using data from Zillow. Three communities in Berkeley County made the list.

With home values averaging $370,000, Hanahan earned a spot at No. 45. According to the data, home values grew by $20,367 (5.8 percent) over a 12-month period. Over a five-year period, home values increased by $139,621 (60.5 percent).

The unincorporated community of Pinopolis ranked No. 39 on the list. Average home values grew by $21,911 (5.2 percent) over the last 12 months, the data shows. Over a five-year period, home values increased by $146,149 (49.4 percent). The typical home value in Pinopolis is $441,764.

Increasing home values landed the town of Bonneau at No. 36 on the list. Home values grew by more than $22,712 (8.2 percent) over 12 months. Over a five-year period, home values increased by $118,324 (65.3 percent).

Cities and towns are ranked by the dollar change in Zillow Home Values Index for all homes from the twelve months ending April 2023. The charts in this story were created automatically using Matplotlib. Data was available for 288 cities and towns in South Carolina. Home values in the top city on the list grew by $122,081 over the last 12 months.
