Princeton Man Killed Following Motorcycle Crash in Pine County

On June 2, 2023, at approximately 17:31 hours, the Pine County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a personal injury accident involving a motor vehicle and a motorcycle near the intersection of County Highway 61 and Beroun Crossing Road in Pine City.

Deputies arrived on scene and found a male driver of the motorcycle sustained severe life-threatening injuries. While gathering information regarding the accident, it was reported to deputies that the motor vehicle was traveling northbound on County Highway 61 and the motorcycle was traveling eastbound through the intersection at Beroun Crossing Road when the collision occurred.

The Pine City Fire Department and Essentia Health EMS assisted with providing medical treatment to all parties involved in the accident. The occupants of the motor vehicle and the driver of the motorcycle were transported to the hospital by ambulance.

On June 3, 2023, the Pine County Sheriff’s Office was notified that the driver of the motorcycle, Mark Richardson of Princeton, MN, had passed away from his injuries sustained in the crash.

No other information is being released at this time as the crash is still under investigation by the Pine County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
