PHOENIX — Loop 303 northbound is back open at Indian School Road after a crash involving multiple vehicles Friday evening.
Department of Public Safety officials said a small SUV traveled from the southbound SR-303 traffic lanes through the dirt median and entered the northbound traffic lanes, colliding with a passenger vehicle.
DPS said the SUV driver was ejected, resulting in life-threatening injuries.
The highway was closed for about an hour while crews worked to clear the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
