PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- A traffic stop about 45 minutes north of the Arizona-Mexico border ended with Department of Public Safety Troopers finding roughly 230 pounds of fentanyl and nearly 10 pounds of cocaine on Friday. According to DPS, a Drug Enforcement and Investigations Bureau trooper stopped a driver in a 2015 Honda Accord who was heading north on Interstate 19 near Amado.

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5/AP) — Gov. Katie Hobbs announced on Thursday a new report regarding Phoenix’s groundwater situation and new restrictions that will impact new construction in the Valley. The study, Phoenix Active Management Area Groundwater Model, revealed that about 4% or nearly 5 million acre-feet of the groundwater demand needed for the Valley would not be met if nothing is done. So, as required by law, Hobbs said the state is pausing new construction in the Phoenix area that relies on groundwater. She also announced a $40 million investment to help with water conservation.

The notice states that people have 180 days to find another place to live. However, the letter didn’t give an exact date on when people needed to be moved out by. “There’s people in here with no place to go, older people, and handicapped people,” Roy Hennemann said. “I’ll land on my feet. I always do, but I’m worried about them.”

It all happened on Feb. 25, 2022, around 6:15 p.m., when the man is seen on video surveillance footage approaching the 27-year-old victim while on a mountain bike. He is seen walking up to the victim, who is using the library’s free public Wifi and demands the victim’s property. The victim is then seen fighting with the man and taking his gun away, police say. The man then leaves the area.
