Arizona Cardinals sign a wide receiver
The Arizona Cardinals are busy building around quarterback Kyler Murray in Johnathan Gannon’s first offseason as the head coach. The Cardinals added to their wide receiver room Monday. The Cardinals released one veteran wide receiver and are considering a DeAndre Hopkins trade. They needed to add depth to the position for when Murray comes back next season from injury.
According to Mike Garafolo with the NFL Network, the Cardinals are set to sign wide receiver Zach Pascal for two seasons. Pascal and Gannon have worked together with the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles.
Pascal was an undrafted free agent signed by Washington in 2017. Pascal has 165 receptions for 2,038 yards and 16 touchdown catches in his NFL career. He earned a 62.6 overall grade for his play in 2022 for the Eagles. The Cardinals will still need to add more depth to the wide receiver room. However, Pascal will bring stability to Gannon and his staff as they install a new culture in Phoenix.
