Authorities in Centre County say a Philipsburg woman is behind bars for her role in the fatal overdose of a 26-year-old man earlier this year.

Police say on April 10th, officers were dispatched to a residence along the 100 block of Flint Court, in Spring Township, for a reported overdose.

Investigators say the victim was found in a bedroom, and Narcan was provided, but first responders were unsuccessful in reviving the man.

Police say one of the residents, 24-year-old Shianna Lambert, reportedly told police that she woke up and noticed that the victim had "red stuff" coming out of his mouth and his breathing was "very shallow."

Upon further investigation, police learned that Lambert, who was a known drug user, would reportedly travel to Philadelphia to purchase heroin and fentanyl and would then sell it in Centre County.

Authorities added that text messages reportedly showed that Lambert had planned to meet up with the victim after he had recently been released from jail.

Police say one of the victim's relatives also reportedly told investigators of an incident in which he stated that he "did not want to keep doing drugs," but Lambert told him to "shut up" and "come with her."

Authorities say Lambert later admitted to purchasing more drugs, just days prior to the victim's overdose, and told officers that she supplied him with said drugs.

Police say more text messages revealed Lambert's conversations about purchasing the drugs and included one thread where she stated that she "didn't want to catch a murder charge," because of the "potency" of the drugs she was purchasing.

Authorities noted that an autopsy revealed the presence of fentanyl and xylazine in the victim's system at the time of his death.

According to online court records, Lambert is facing various charges, including drug delivery resulting in death.

Police also noted that Lambert reportedly made a statement to the victim's mother that said "I am going to be charged for his murder. He asked me for drugs and I gave it to him like an idiot."

Lambert is being held at the Centre County Prison and her bail was denied.
