Philadelphia Phillies first basement Rhys Hoskins suffered, what appears to be, a serious knee injury during Thursday's Spring Training game.
Hoskins was carted off of the field after the injury.

The 30-year-old slugger was having an excellent Spring Training (11-31, 2 2B, 4 HR, 9 RBI in 11 games) and was going to be a big part of the World Series contending Phillies in 2023, as he enters the season on a one-year, $12 million contract.
Phillies president spoke about Rhys Hoskins this week on 94WIP and his future with the organization.
“Love (Hoskins). Absolutely think he’s tremendous. He’s done so much for us, we love him as a person,” Dombrowski said. “I think we’re just in a position right now, we’ll probably look at this and just continue to analyze the situation. I think it’s like with Aaron and Rhys both, that if you don’t have a deal before Opening Day, it doesn’t mean that they’re free agents. You still have a chance to sign them at the end of the year."
For his career, Hoskins is slashing .242/.353/.492 averaging 36 home runs and 98 RBI per season.
Last season, Hoskins in six home runs combined in the NLDS, NLCS and World Series, with four of those coming in the NLCS against the San Diego Padres, none more memorable than this one.
