PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — It was a violent start to the weekend as two people were killed and four others injured in a string of unrelated shootings across Philadelphia since Friday night.

Police say the latest victim was discovered in Southwest Philly.

Around 2:30 a.m., officers found a 38-year-old man shot to death inside of a car on Lindbergh Boulevard in the Eastwick neighborhood, in between the International City apartment complex and the Penrose Plaza Shopping Center.

There isn't any word on any arrests, or even a suspect, but investigators collected several shell casings, in the hope they can help identify a shooter.

Police are also working to identify suspects in a triple shooting that happened in West Philadelphia around midnight.

Investigators say that the shooting happened near the intersection of North 40th and Poplar streets.

A 28-year-old man, a 23-year-old man, and another man were driven to the hospital by someone who ditched the vehicle after dropping off the victims. All three are listed in critical condition. Police have not named any suspects.

Another man is in critical condition after he was shot in the stomach in South Philadelphia, near 17th and Snyder streets. Authorities say it happened around 11:35 Friday night. No weapons were recovered and a suspect has yet to be found.

About an hour earlier in Frankford, a 37-year-old man died at the hospital after being shot several times throughout his body, on Torresdale Avenue near Bridge Street. Police have yet to make an arrest or recover a weapon.
