Cincinnati woman wins $150,000 prize on scratch-off ticket: 'I just started jumping'
CINCINNATI — A Cincinnati woman is $150,000 richer after scoring big on a scratch-off lottery ticket. “I was in the midst of doing a home loan. I was worried about debt that it would put me in, but I wanted to buy, get the home. I immediately called my loan officer and told him I just won some money and I’m not going to really need the loan anymore," winner Anna Hall told lottery officials.

FOREST PARK, Illinois (AP) — Mayumi Barrack sees a pair of mating periodical cicadas getting together, whips out her phone, says, “Hi guys!” and takes their picture. “I’m not really a bug person, but as I look more and more I feel they are adorable,” Barrack explained, noting that many other creatures — birds, squirrels, raccoons and more — are just as eager to get close to the bugs, if only to turn them into food. “I just want to document they existed.”

Taco joint to open fifth location in $150M Cincinnati development
CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) - A tacos, tequila and margarita restaurant company is expanding in the Cincinnati area this summer. Columbus-based Condado Tacos is opening its fifth location in Sycamore Township across from Kenwood Towne Centre July 11. Located at 7961 Kenwood Road, the 4,103-square-foot building is part of the $150 million Gallery at Kenwood development.
Hillsboro woman wins home in St. Jude giveaway
Jeanette Washburn, a manager at the Hillsboro Save-A-Lot, was the winner of the 2024 Dream Home Giveaway sponsored by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and FOX19 Now. The drawing was held the morning of Friday, June 14 live during the FOX19 NOW morning show. The $480,000 three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom home in Covington, Kentucky is 2,800 square feet. It was built by Fischer Homes.
