OHP Identifies Kansas Bank Robbery Suspect After Deadly Shooting, Pursuit Near Perry

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has identified the man who died after shooting at troopers during a pursuit last week near Perry.

On March 24, troopers learned about a bank robbery suspect from Kansas, Rosendo Rivero, 25, who entered Oklahoma.

Troopers tracked down Rivero's vehicle when a pursuit ensued, OHP said.

Shots were fired as the suspect fled on foot in an area near Interstate 35 and U.S. Highway 412.

The suspect was pronounced dead on scene after exchanging gunfire with troopers, OHP said.

No troopers were injured during the pursuit.
